60 Musical Performances: Lady Grey Arts Academy Dominates Eisteddfod

Our Lady Grey Arts Academy music students took part in the 2024 Aliwal North Eisteddfod: Eistedd@Allies. We entered a total number of no less than SIXTY musical items where they all delighted us with their wonderful talents in playing the recorder, alto recorder, tenor recorder, piano, violin, trumpet, saxophone and singing. The items ranged from solo performances, duets, quartets and choir singing. We are extremely proud of our students for being so brave and enthusiastic about their performances; most of them performing in front of people for the very first time.  They all did very well and achieved silver (70%+), gold (80%+), double gold (85%+), and triple gold (90%+) certificates.  To each and every student, thank you for your hard work and dedication towards your musical talents and instruments! You are all stars!!!  And behind every successful musician stands a tired teacher…. We simply have to thank our dedicated team of teachers of the Lady Grey Arts Academy Music Department for all their hard work, and for nurturing each talent in such a wonderful way.  Mr Luyanda Khumalo, Mrs Marilena Jordaan, Mrs Karen Vorster, and Mrs Mariette Pitout, we salute you!
