A Heartfelt Thank You: A Community Gathers to Celebrate Our Educators

Our hearts are full following a truly special afternoon of gratitude last Friday, May 9th. We had the absolute honour of welcoming the incredible staff from Holy Cross Primary School to LGAA for an event dedicated entirely to them. Alongside our friends at Molweni Bantwana Outreach, we wanted to take a moment to pause and say a profound “thank you” for the tireless work and passion they pour into the children and families of Lady Grey every single day.

To express our appreciation, our very own primary school music learners and choir prepared a beautiful presentation. Under the wonderful guidance of their teachers, Mrs. Mariëtte Pitout and Mrs. Karen Vorster, the students’ voices and music filled the room with joy and sincerity. It was a powerful and touching tribute from our young learners to their fellow educators in the community, and a true showcase of the amazing talent being nurtured in our schools.

The celebration was made complete by the generosity of our wider community. Guests were treated to a feast of delicious eats, all prepared by caring local hands. The tables were bright with beautifully arranged flowers, creating a warm, welcoming, and celebratory atmosphere that reflected the gratitude we all felt.

Moments like these are a beautiful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together with a shared purpose. We are so grateful for the partnership we have with Holy Cross Primary and Molweni Bantwana Outreach. This shared commitment to our community makes us all stronger, and we are already looking forward to our next opportunity to collaborate.
